Summer Opportunity to Hack in France

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at UC Berkeley, an organizing partner of #CampusInWatch, is hosting a study abroad this July in Nice, France. If you're interested in a more involved hacking experience in an interdisciplinary, multicultural, and international program, take a look at the European Innovation Academy.

Winners Announced!

All of the projects were amazing and we appreiate everyone's effort to make this weekend successful. As such, we decided to change the prize system slightly and include more hackers.

The first place team is InTime, a truly innovative application for the InWatch Z that integrates an impressive number of hardware functionalities to maximise the "wrist real estate" and compete with some bigger names (Google cough coug). InTime will be flying to Spain next week to compete at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Wish them the best of luck!

Day 3 - Home Stretch!

Hello hackers,

A friendly reminder that submissions are now open and you can submit until 1:30 pm. Lunch will be served at 12:30, presentations will happen thereafter, and winners will be announced.

Be advised that your submission can be whatever represents your work best. Powerpoint, video, documentation, etc - anything goes!

We'll be announcing 9 winners this afternoon. First place gets a trip to Spain to present at the Mobile World Congress. Second place gets InWatch Z's. Third place gets complimentary access to the CITRIS Invention Lab.

Issues with charger or USB connectivity?

Feel free to use isopropyl (alcohol) to clean the connections on the charger and USB. If you're having issues, this should solve the problem. We have a few alcohol wipes at the volunteers' table but if you have some at home, feel free to bring some.

Great first day hackers! We're calling it a night but we'll be back in the 3rd Floor SDH Atrium tomorrow morning (Sat. 2/21) bright and early at 9AM! We'll have coffee and bagels for you (or Red Bull if you prefer) to continue where you left off. See you then!

Hackathon has begun!

Time to get hacking! Check out your inWatch Z Android smart watch by the Volunteer Table by the 3rd Floor atrium of SDH. inWatch engineers are nearby to help with any questions. Remember, the goal is to come up with fun and innovation apps/functionailities for wearable devices. The inWatch Z is running Andoid 4.4 KitKat. 24 Hours Until #CampusInWatch Hackathon

Hello Hackers!

The big day is tomorrow! We'll be kicking off the #CampusInWatch Hackathon at 6 pm in Sutardja Dai Hall at UC Berkeley. Come prepared to work hard, have fun and make wearables awesome. Remember that the grand prize is a trip to Barcelona, second place prize is an InWatch Z, and student hacker prize is complimentary membership in the CITRIS Invention Lab.
